Message from the Principal
Dear HMS Families,
We are thrilled to welcome you to another exciting school year! The 2025–2026 year is already shaping up to be one full of learning, growth, and great memories.
We’re happy to share that Officer Torres, our Chino Valley Police Department School Resource Officer (SRO), will be returning to campus this year. We love having him as part of our HMS community, and his presence continues to support our strong commitment to student safety.
At HMS, safety and learning go hand in hand. We take great pride in providing a secure, welcoming environment while holding high expectations for academic excellence. This year, we are placing an extra focus on math to ensure students build strong skills and confidence in this critical subject.
We’ll also continue to grow students’ character through our campus-wide character-building program and our ongoing efforts to stand up against bullying. Creating a positive, inclusive school culture is a top priority.
Of course, we’ll keep the fun going too! Favorite HMS traditions like the 8th grade field trip, school assemblies, and spirit events, will continue, helping make middle school a time to remember.
Our teachers are energized and excited to welcome students back July 31. For our student-athletes, please remember to complete your sports physicals early so you’re ready to go when the season starts.
Here’s to a fantastic year ahead at HMS!
Warmly,
Kaitlin McGill
